I am a nursing graduate from the University of Vigo and an expert in educational guidance for people with diabetes. Speaking from the heart of a nurse, I can tell you that I am passionate about people.
I firmly believe in their capacity for resilience, learning and transformation.
I'm a person shaped by a multitude of experiences and decisions…
And becoming a nurse was one of the best decisions of my life. For me, it marked a turning point in how I understand life. Even in school, I was passionate about any topic related to human health and how we function on a bio-psycho-social level. But through nursing, I learned that to care for others, we must care for ourselves first: Invest in your self-care to make an impact on those around you..
Since I was a child, I have always been reflective and introspective, yet fueled by an inner fire of curiosity to keep learning, improving, and moving forward. Existential themes fascinated me, so at home, I never stopped asking "Why?". But the real challenge lay within me. As Plato said, "Know thyself." Know yourself first, so you know how to care for yourself later..
I am from Galicia, but I consider myself a citizen of the world. That is how my professional nursing journey began in the United Kingdom 10 years ago. There, I had the opportunity to work with great multidisciplinary teams, and English became my second language for connecting with people. Living abroad definitely taught me not just the importance of words and communication, but also that listening is essential. I love listening to you and hearing everything you have to share so we can team up and I can support you on your journey.
After 5 years in the UK, I decided to make a change. I have dedicated the last three years of my life to contributing to the improvement of quality of life for people with diabetes. I worked as a technical consultant at a multinational company, Medtronic, to bring technology closer to people with diabetes, a condition that affects 1 in 7 people in Spain More than 15% of the population.
For this reason, my commitment is to go further and offer a more integrative approach in service of those living with diabetes, helping them achieve their health and well-being goals in a more sustainable and gentle way through personalized guidance based on the different levels of self-care. I am grateful to have discovered that I love educating and, above all, accompanying others as they rise from difficult moments to regain their health and autonomy.
